Blue Sky's work is published around the world in art history books, most recently in Sweden, Greece, Germany, Amsterdam, Belgium and Italy. He was award the "Order of the Palmetto, the states highest civilian honor in 2000 by Governor Hodges, is included in Who's Who in the World, and his work is in numerous purchased museum and public collections such as the Smithsonian, the State Museum, the Florence Museum, the Mississippi Museum, Federal Reserve Banks, IBM, & Price-Waterhouse. His work is best known by his large scale public works including his 50 foot by 75 foot mural "Tunnelvision" (1975) and his 40 foot "Busted Plug Plaza" sculpture (2000), the largest fire hydrant in the world.
Blue Sky's studio building with the large windows facing Washington Street is located in the beautiful Historic Arcade Mall and it is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places. Designed in the Renaissance Revival style, it was built in 1912.
